Noob questions here lately.
Not to name names or anything but lately it seems like there are an abnormal abundance of questions being posted by people who are very new to MQSeries. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Hi,
[IMHO]
Well when I started reading in this forum, I didn't know very much about MQ.
The 1st answer that I posted was a desaster.
Even now that I am 21 Years old and allready 2 Years into MQ, I would not consider myself as an expert.
I was very thankfull (and still am) to get fair answers, even if I ask a silly question. Also this is a great place to discuss with some of the best MQ people all over the world.
And if I then in return can help somebody else, that's great for me.
But to get to the point now... Everybody was new to something once upon a time. It is only fair if the noobs do ask their questions, and do get fair answers and discussions.
The only thing, that could really improve, is that people do start using the search button more frequently.
[/IMHO]
cheers

Every now and then you see a burst of new activity, happens in every newsgroup on every topic.
Same as this topic search: newbie posts
Anyone should be able to ask any question, most newbie's don't know about the search button and some are just lazy...
My suggestion would be to introduce a popup on the first 10 posts or so
'educating' the newbie on not to post the same question twice, to use the search button and most importantly... we are not here to spoonfeed the world... do your own research, read the manuals and when you can't find what you are looking for ... then ask the question... _________________ Michael

Well, if there are more new people to WMQ, then I'm glad to see it. |
