Hi
We are having Mqclient ver 5.3 and mq server ver 5.2. A .net application is running on the client side and when we r stopping the application on the client side, the listener on the server side stops and gives the ‘Broken pipe’ error. However, i ve found a solu to this and it is a patch updation on the server side for MQ 5.2 ( MQSERIES B.11.520.02 MQSeries Update (U474837) for HP-UX)
You can find the function of the patch in the following link:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IY17946
However, i wanted to know is there neway in which we can modify the .net application on the client side to rectify the error and hence also avoid the patch updation.... _________________ Regards,

Go to 5.3 on the server?
What's stopping you moving? |

For the SIGPIPE to be generated at the server, the connection must have been forcibly terminated at the client in some way. You could try to ensure that the client app ends only after calling MQDISC, however you do that in a .NET app. |
