Is the UPES framework(supportpac) any useful when you want to call EJB's?

It depends on whether you want to use it or not. UPES framework will help you deal with the UPES messages better. That is all it is.

For J2ee, my approach was to use message driven beans and a data binding framework (xmlbeans) to avoid writing all the DOM code to manipulate the UPES messages.

I am not able to see any advantage with using UPES framework instead of developing a framework using MDB and XML binding.

Does the UPES framework really reduce any coding effort ?
Let me know if I am missing something here.
