I have a requirement to classify the Exceptions arising in a Message Flow into Application-Level & System-Level ones. So is there any way to identify the type of exception from the ExceptionList data?.
I guess ExceptionList.Number will provide a clue about the range for both Exception Types. Is it so?. If so, what is the number range for System-level exceptions?.
Else i have to catch the classify based on ExceptionList.Name (ParserException, DatabaseException, ConversionException) and ExceptionList.Text fields. |

Is it an application error or a system error if WBIMB can't connect to the database? I think it depends on where you are standing at the time...
Usually, they are all application errors. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

But i feel Database Connection Error should be classified as "System Exception". Only the errors caused by improper inputs should be classified as "Application Exceptions".
Is there any way to classify as above based on the ExceptionList data. I also want to know what are the types of Exceptions possible in WBIMB?
The things i know are
UserException,ParserException,DatabaseException,ConversionException, RecoverableException |
