Hi,
We have installed Websphere MQ 5.3 on Solaris 8 and the install went on fine. But while testing the installation by running "crtmqm testqmgr", we are getting the error AMQ8101: Websphere MQ Error (893) has occured".

The quick beginnings guide for your platform includes all of the necessary setup you need to do, including values to adjust your kernel shared memory segment limits. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi
Looks like kernel tuning. Did you apply the minimum settings from the ReadMe and reboot?

Hi,
In the Readme that was supplied, there was no mention of any kernel level tuning to be done as part of the installation. (or am I missing out something?)
Can someone guide me on what needs to be done at the kernel level?
