Hi All
Good Morning. We have a problem here. If anyone of you have encountered similar issue or if you have any inputs, that will be appreciated. We tried all the options we know.

DataStage (an ETL Tool) is GETting messages from a queue and is generating some reports. I verified that it doing a DESTRUCTIVE READ.

The messages still remain in the queue after the DataStage gets it. I checked the DataStage logs are it confirms that the process is sucessful.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Maybe it is getting the message under syncpoint and then rolling it back rather than commit.

You can view the msg with amqsbcg and see if the backout count is > 0.

Either it's not actually doing a destructive get - it's using browse instead - or it's failing to commit the gets - or it's rolling back the get.

These are the only ways that messages can stay on queues after a GET returns an MQRC_NONE.

You should be able to use MQ tracing to verify the operations that the program is performing.
