Hi friends,

I have written a shell script to start the Listener and Command Server at the time of resart /reboot.I want to start the listener automatically at the time of restart

But i am confused about the proper location of this file in the AIX file system.

has any one done the similar kind of activity ?
What would be the right location in AIX to put that file?

Hi,

AFAIK they go in /etc/ and starts with rc. You then need to use the mkitab command to add it to the inittab file. The inittab file is also in /etc

Take a look at this append:

The file setup is the same for AIX.
You can use the sample script, but remove the rc_reset and rc_status calls. I do not think they work on AIX.
