I need to tokenize a string. I did not see a stringTokenizer Function in ESQL, so am using Position and Substring methods to tokenize the string. Is there an easier alternative. Is this the correct approach.
-Thanks Ratan. _________________ -Ratan |

Have you considered using a message set, instead?
But, to answer your question, POSITION and SUBSTRING is it.
Unless you want to call out to Java or C. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi Ratan,
Why can't you use a message set? |

Hi kimbert,
I was working with a msg in the XML domain. I just need to tokenize the contents of a tag. And the tokenizing of the contents depends on some other tag value. Dont think msgSets help here. _________________ -Ratan |
