Hi

I had installed MQ 5.3 successfully in our Solaris server.
After doing this, when I tried creating a queue manager, it failed with reason code AMQ8101. The Following error message is thrown when using the crtmqm command.

AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (893) has occurred.

Do anyone have any idea on the problem. Please let me know.

My guess would be that your kernel parameters aren't set correctly. Check out the Quick Beginnings guide for suggested values.

893 (2195) would cut an FDC. Posting the FDC might also help. It should be in /var/mqm/errors direcotry.

The Changes done to the system file was not effective until I rebooted my solaris machine. I had done the reboot and now the problems seems to be resolved.
