I recently posted about a problem (this thread) I was having making a client connection using MQCONNX. I think I might have found the root of the problem: my app links to mqm.lib, and I'm discovering that mqm.lib is not present on client installations.

Is there a client-side equivalent of mqm.lib that I should be linking to in order to get those functions (MQCONNX, mqExecute, etc.?)

I thought it was mqic.lib, check the MQ clients manual to be sure

mqic32.lib is the client equivalent of mqm.lib.

This is an API from the MQ Administrative Interface (MQAI) for PCF messages.

As clindsey said, it's part of the MQ Administration Interface, for creating, modifying, deleting, or inquiring details about Queues, Channels, Queue Managers, and other such things. In my case, I am using it to find the status of a channel.

Thank you MichaelDag and bower5932, that was the answer I needed. I replaced my link to mqm.lib with mqic.lib, and everything works fine now.
