I guess its valid to put this in General Discussion so here we go.

I have been informed that we may have to support a SonicMQ installation at our site in order to work with clients that have SonicMQ at their sites. As a very stubborn narrow minded WebsphereMQ admin, this sucks! Hell no, I won't go!

Unfortunately, the people that pay me are saying that we must look into it.

Has anyone worked with both SonicMQ and WebsphereMQ? Any positive/negative experiences?

I've done a little evaluation of SonicMQ.

It's basically a JMS provider. In fact, the C/C++ client APIS are ... JMS.

Last I knew, they had a demo download. You might grab it and see for yourself.

It shouldn't be too hard to bridge Sonic to MQ.
