Hi.
I know this is only for MQSI doubts, but they wont let me post this question on the MQSeries forum.....
Can anyone tell me if there is any method by which the MQSeries queue deletes a message automatically,if its been there in the queue for a long time.....that is, is there a timeout condition i can set ?????? |

Why wouldn't they let you post this question on MQ forum? this is 100% MQ question. [Moving this post to General MQ Forum].
There is no such property called timeout on queue or mq message. I think you are referring to MQMD.Expiry on messages. Once the message is expired the queue manager automatically removes them from the queue when doing MQGET. Sending application should set Expiry time on these messages. _________________ Kiran

Try doing a search on this forum on Expiry or timeout settings. There's a whole discussion on when the message got deleted and such. |
