Does anyone know if Workflow is able to send the proper information to authenticate with a MQSeries Security exit?
We would like to enable a security exit for MQSeries, but I am not sure Workflow allows you to set the userid and password for a security exit.
One way or another I would like to make the queues more secure. _________________ Dave Krier

Hi,
This is what's mentioned in the Programming guide of Workflow;
"For invocation messages sent by MQ Workflow, the UserIdentifier field in the MQMD is set to the user ID of the user on whose behalf the activity instance has been started. Additionally, the <Starter> element in the invocation message itself is set to that user ID. The UPES applications can use this information to implement their own authorization schemes."
So, if i am getting you correctly, then you would need the user id for your authentication exit, which you can get from the MQMD of the XML message sent by Workflow. |

What about a password? We would need the password to be passed as well as the userid. _________________ Dave Krier
