Hello folks ,

Can someone help me on this . I receive from external application log the following error :

2082 0x00000822 MQRC_UNKNOWN_ALIAS_BASE_Q

I really don't know what it means. My suspect is that the queue was not included to cluster repository .

You don't know what it means?

It's documented, clearly.

Messages Manual, Chapter 8 API Completion and Reason Codes wrote:
2082 X'0822' MQRC_UNKNOWN_ALIAS_BASE_Q
An MQOPEN or MQPUT1 call was issued specifying an alias queue as the target, but the BaseQName in the alias queue attributes is not recognized as a queue name.

This reason code can also occur when BaseQName is the name of a cluster queue that cannot be resolved successfully.

Corrective action: Correct the queue definitions.


So, what is the alias queue your application is trying to open, and what is wrong with the definition of it?
