Hi

I am trying to set up an installation with the data and logs portion of MQ on another server where the drive is shared across a network.

It appears my installation and initial creation of a qmgr works then strange things start to happen. As soon as I try to do anything remotely - either set up for admin purposes or join the new qmanger to a cluster all the channels disappear including the system ones and I can't do anything to recover. The logs report an internal MQ error has occurred.

Anyone done this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't think it was possible to move the WMQ logs to a remote (shared) machine. What kind of strange errors are you getting? Are you getting any FDCs?
