Hi,

I am trying to install only message broker toolkit. Since the broker is installed on separate server and configuration manager somewhere, I am trying to connect to it. So wanted to install only toolkit. I found that the following r required:

You will need the following software:

IBM DB2 Universal Database Enterprise Server Edition 8.1 Fix Pack 2.
IBM WebSphere MQ Version 5.3 with CSD05
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) Version 2.7 SP1, Version 2.7 SP1a, or Version 2.8.
IBM Agent Controller Version 5.0.1 (also known as RAC)
IBM WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker Version 5 CSD02

I have a doubt like, why do we need db2.
Are these the required ones. Please let me know exactly what all do i need to connect to the existing system, i mean iam trying to connect to test environment which is already running on remote servers. I am trying to access through my laptop.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need for toolkit

Did you go for custom install?

As far i think, all we need is just install toolkit. Do we need to install any CSDs installed??? or anyting else..

As your post ..

IBM WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker Version 5 CSD02

Toolkit required the same CSD as Configuration manager has.
