Hello All,
message flows are not showing up in debug, when i attach execution group i do not see message flows under it.
this is happening after i installed CSD03. also installed latest version of agent controller from CSD download page. that didn't help.
my REGEDIT, Add/Remove programs in control panel shows CSD 03. but my toolkit still shows 5.0.2.
i also ran toolkit update. still shows 5.0.2. its not just the version name, i can see some of the features from 5.0.3 toolkit are missing.
input is appreciated...
Thanks |

Yes, I have had a ticket in with IBM for months for the remote debugging problems. Which platform/OS are you running?
I can confirm the same situation on the toolkit. Except I got the features I was expecting. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

its not remote, its on a local machine, Windows 2000/DB2 FP 6/MQ 5.3 CSD07/WBIMB CSD03(I Think, toolkit still shows 5.0.2 though) |

Well then, have you started the RAC? _________________ Patrick Goodhart

I uninstalled toolkit and installed again then applied CSD03, created broker in CSD03, now debug works fine. looks like if the broker is created using csd02 and you try to install csd03 on same machine we may see this problem. |

Very interesting, thanks for posting the follow up...
I know that you also have to start the RAC and broker in a specific order.
So you may have transposed the startup order during your reinstall (then it may work). Just something else to check if it happens again. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

Hi
I am in the same situation, so if you guys could clarify some details around your findings:
1. Do you mean that we DO need CSD03 on the broker to make it possible at all to remote-debug? If so, do we have to uninstall the broker and install it again, or can we just apply CSD03?
2. When I try to remote debug it complains about the Agent Controller being unavailable. It prompts me to check it, and to check so it allows my machine to communicate with it. The strange thing is that when we allow "ALL" in the Agent it does not work at all, but when we do "custom" and allow the Ip-adress of my toolkit explicitly it work a bit better (however, still not OK). It also prompts me to seup the correct ports for the RAC. What does it mean? Where do I set the ports to communicate with the RAC?
3. When you say "start in a certain order", can you be more precise?
many thanks in advance. /K |

I am not sure about the first part, but you don't need to uninstall the broker. Just install the CSD3 on top of older CSD.

Take a look at serviceconfig.xml file in <ibm_rac_home>\config directory. I think you can change the port number there.

Start the RAC first before you start the Broker. _________________ Kiran

We had it work, via upgrading to FP4 on everything. |
