I'm an MQ admin (not a developer). Our developers, when writing their application, did not include code that links an MQJMS error to an MQ reason code. I want to request a code change to do this, but I want to be sure I express the request in the the correct technical manner.

I found a code snippet in the MQ JMS doco. If I give the developers this snippet, should they be able to understand what I want?

try {
.
. code which may throw a JMSException
.
} catch (JMSException je) {
System.err.println("caught "+je);
Exception e = je.getLinkedException();
if (e != null) {
System.err.println("linked exception: "+e);
}
}

Please, if you java gurus could help out this bewildered sys admin, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
