Hi,
I've installed MQ 5.3 CSD07, Message broker 5.0 CSD 03 on the same machine (on my personal laptop windows XP prof SP2). I'm having trouble in connecting to the configmgr from my broker toolkit. I've created both configuration manager and broker using CONFIGQM (port 1425)& BROKERQM (port 1426) respectively. I created channels between CONFIGQM & BROKERQM and messages flow to & fro between these QM's. Problem happens when I try to connect to the domain from my broker toolkit. I've supplied arguments (CONFIGQM, localhost, 1425). Error message says:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MQSeries Qmanager CONFIGQM is not running and/or listener on port 1425 is not started.
Start QMGR if necessary and retry the operation.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've verified the correctness of the ports many times. Listeners are definitely running because i can communicate between CONFIGQM and BROKERQM through amqsput. Since all are on local machine, i dont expect any issues with security( and by the way, i created all the DB's, QM's,etc with same user ID).
Is there anything which I need to tweak to make this work or move to higher level CSD's? Did anyone experienced same problems while accessing locally from their laptops? Please help.
Thanks. |

There are no errors in event logs. I even changed the port number/recreated configuration manager. But no success. This error keeps on coming. Did anyone had success from their laptops to connect to the config manager from toolkit?
Thanks for your suggestions |

The problem is now solved. Personal firewall is the culprit. I viewed the firewall internet access list and found "javaw" has BLOCKED access. I granted full access and everything started working. |
