Hello:

I am creating an XML array like the following:

SET OutputRoot.XML.CorpActnMsg.(XML.attr)"nml-version" = '001';
SET OutputRoot.XML.CorpActnMsg.(XML.attr)"nml-version" = '002';

I want to create an element called 'Payout' in the first array. How do I do it? Is the following correct?

SET OutputRoot.XML.CorpActnMsg.(XML.attr)"nml-version=001".Payout = 0.95;

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

This is how the array looks:

<CorpActnMsg nml-version=001>
<Payout>0.95<\Payout>
<Date>20041027<\Date>
... (other tags)

Not according to the ESQL you posted.

In order to create an "array" in ESQL, you need to use indices.
Code:
SET OutputRoot.XML.CorpActnMsg[1].(XML.attr)"nml-version" = '001';
