Hi Gurus
Env:Win2K
1. crtmqm -q QM1
2. strmqm QM1
3. endmqm QM1
4. dltmqm QM1

now after step 4 QM1 directory under ../qmgrs/QM1 doesnt seem to be deleted.

Q1. Does it happen only in windows or is it a UNIX thing too..?
Q3. I am not able to create another Queue Manager QM1 after step 4. Is it normal..?
Q2. Do I have to do anything after step.4 to absolutely clean out Queue Manager QM1 so that I can create the Queue Manager with the same name as QM1 ?

Thnx in advance.

Why do u think so?

dltmqm will remove the directory../gmrs/QM1. Please check and post any errors if recorded in the AMQERR logs. Check for any FDCs created.

True. They are getting deleted. But occasionally they are not.
One more observation is that the Queue Manager directory for QM1 is sometimes being show as ../qmgrs/QM1.000. I am not sure if it got created with a 000 extension the first time I created QM1 or got modified in between any of the operations that I did on QM1.
I am referring to the queue normally as QM1 in all my operations not as QM1.000
I am not able to reproduce that situation though.
Just let me know if anybody has encoutered that situation. Otherwise I would assume it is a highly temporary situation.
thnx in advance

Have you checked the AMQERR logs and FDC files?

Hi,

If directory ../qmgrs/QM1 exist when you create QM1 the directory will be ../qmgrs/QM1.000

Cheers

Also are there any process into that directory at the time of the dltmqm.

example c:\MQSeries\qmgrs\QM1 > dltmqm QM1
