Hello,

In coding terms, what are the differences between JMS in client mode and binding mode?

I'm aware that the transport can be configured using the JMSAdmin tool, but do changes need to be made to the application code.

The main differences between bindings mode and client mode will concern the ability of your application to do a 2 phase commit. So unless you were talking about the transactional client (costs = server) the answer is yes to some degree. If you don't need 2 phase commit the answer is:
There should be no changes to the way you code your application. There will be however changes to the way you set your authorizations on the queues and on the qmgr.
