Hi,
We used scripts If we want to move MQSeries setup from one server to other server.I read about recovery and restart if system crash. My question about new server, that is after MQSeries Installation with out writing any scripts or creating queue managers just by copying all configuration files(mqs.ini and qm.ini),all queue manager directories, log files...etc in a proper directory does it work?
Thanks

Hi Kurra,
It will work, but you have to bear in mind that on some platforms the System/Box name is indisposable. Which means system name is part of many such processes/files. And thus you need to carefully change the system/box name for the same.
Making a note of this, because you did not mention your specific platform.
Cheers.

Hi,
this problem arises also if you install MQSeries on a Cluster of Servers. Therefore you can find configuration hints in SupportPacs mc6a and mc69.
