hi all

I want to use MQ API for JMS OR regular MQ API (without JMS support) in a server side java application . my question is :

1- is it necessary to have the Queue manager locally in the same computer which has the application which uses the MQ API or it is enough to have MQ client ?

It really depends: do you need 2 phase commit ? Then yes. Otherwise a client is enough.... Then there is the reliability of network connection...

It will also affect your application performance if you are connecting to the queue manager in a client mode.
