Hi,

I am trying to put a message to queue using enqueue file option.
When i click put message option, i get the window asking to create a enqueue file and it will be created. I don't see any window to specify the queue name and manager. i don't know why the window doesn't showup.
How to specify the details of Q and Qmgr.Any suggestion???

Thanks.

These are properties that are specified in the enqueu message file itself.

This is what you need to do.
  1. Create a New Enqueue message file
  2. Double click the Enque Message File to open up the editor
  3. Enter the queue manager name
  4. Enter the queue name
  5. Click the Browse button, and select your file
  6. Click the Write To Queue button

The problem is, I don't see any of the option for entering the queue name etc..

As i said once the enqueue messagae file is created, if i double click the enqueue message file, it opens a blank text editor where i can enter the message. But after that i don't see anything where i can enter the queue name ....I hope you got what iam trying to say.

Thanks.

Your tooling is broken, or you have done something wrong.

Is there an option listed, when you right click on the enqueue message file in the Navigator, to open it with anything other than a text editor? There should be something like "Enqueue Message File editor" or something.

If i right click the enqueue file, the options given are :

open with system editor, text editor and default editor.

I don't see any enqueue message editor or anything else to enter the Q details...

Do u think the tool is broken or did i do something wrong???

The text editor will be open where we enter the message.

The enqueue message file is not supposed to allow you to type in a message, it is merely supposed to allow you to choose a file that contains a message.

I'd suggest at this point, to try and reinstall your tooling.

Thanks alot. The plugins incompatibility was there. I deleted the metadata folder and started right from the beginning. Now everything is set. I can see the enqueue editor if i right click the enqueue file, can enter the queue mgr details....
