We have in production MQSeries and ICS runnin on Windows. ICS reads messages from the Local queue on production box, PRODQ1, from manager PRODQM1. There is a remote queue RQ1 on the AS400 box and the programs on AS400 puts messages on RQ1. RQ1 points to PRODQ1 on the windows box.
Now I would like to have a copy of all the messages coming on to the Windows box to come to my local machine. Let us say on my machine I have MYICS,MyQ1 and MyQM1. I would like to have messages from PRODQ1 to go to MQ1.
The reason for copying this is that I am developing an ICS collabration to work on par of these messages and I do not want to put in production until it works correctly.
So how to make a copy of messages from PRODQ1 to MYQ1
1. Have a remote queue defined on AS400 box say RQ2 pointing to MYQ1. Modify AS400 programs to put in both RQ1 and RQ2 each and every message
2. Some how tell MQSeries to copy the message from RQ1 to RQ2 ordirectly to MQ1.
No:1 is obviously not platable to other developers.
So how can achieve 2? Please let me know if there is a better and (obviously) easy ways |

Hi,
If your management is ok with you copying production data to your PC (privacy, etc...) and they are ok with the prod data being on an unsecured PC then use the mirrorq SupportPac.

I work as a consultant primary for banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses, so what you are asking for would NEVER be allowed.
