Is it possible to create a bar using ant, like one can with war and ear files?
Has anyone tried it and deployed succesfully to a V5 broker? I also need to add datasources to various compute nodes in the bar.

There are no ant tasks available, you could write your own task wrapping up the mqsicreatebar command.

As for the deployment descriptor, if you open the barfile with winzip, have a look at the broker.xml file.
