Just starting out with v5.0.....(so bare with me )
I'm trying to understand the relationship between .bar files, executions groups, brokers and the configuration manager.
I have a broker topology with 2 brokers, BRK1 and BRK2.
BRK1 has an execution group "default" with flow "TEST1".
BRK2 has an execution group "default" with flow "TEST1".
(exact same flow deployed to two brokers)
I deployed the same .bar file to both "default" execution groups.
The output result from a test message to both brokers/flows was the same...as expected.
I then created a new version of flow "TEST1" ...saved it...and created a new .bar file.
...but this time deployed it only to to "BRK1:default"
The output from a test message to both brokers/flows produced different results..as expected.
So I have achieved what I was hoping... the ability to deploy different versions of the same flow to different brokers but from the same configuration manager..[should negate the need for a configuration manager for each development environment we have...currently 8].
However....when I look at the "domains" pane I can't tell which .bar file has been deployed to which execution group. This would tell me which version of flow "TEST1" is deployed to which broker/execution group.
Is there a way to get this information?

You have pointed out a definate shortcoming of the version 5 implementation. My solution is to change the name of the flows from server to server, which you then can simply look at. This way you know what is what for certain. _________________ Patrick Goodhart
