Hi,
I encountered a new problem.
When i executed mqsideletebroker command, i got a message 'insufficent license units', and then it told queue manager 'XXX' started, and then it can not be terminated except ctl+c.
My platform is AIX5.2.
Thanks! |

Did you run mqsisetcapacity command to set license unit after creating the broker? _________________ Kiran

Hi,
yes, i executed the command.
and the result of executing mqsidisplay capacity is:
BIP8812I: The purchased processor allowance is 2
The purchased processor allowance is currently set to 2 Ensure sufficient license units have benn purchased and, if necessary, use the WebSphere MQ Integrator mqsisetcapacity command to change the purchased processor allowance for this installation. For more information refer to the online help.
BIP8813I: The number of processors in this machine is 4 The operating system reports that the number of processors in this machine is 4.
None.
Could anyone tell me what it that mean?
Or tell me which documents i can get the useful information about this.
Thanks! |

You have a machine with 4 processors and a license with only 2 units...
I don't think you will be able to much of anything other then uninstall and that may be difficult. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

Actually, it's not clear if he only owns licenses for only two processors or not.
If he owns license for four processes, then he can use mqsisetcapacity to indicate that he has these licenses. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Is this problem related to Even Broker or Message Broker?
I don't know what is the latest fixpack for Event Broker, but I'd recommed that you install latest fixpack for your version of WBI software and try again. If it doesn't work then raise a PMR with IBM. _________________ Kiran

When you ran mqsisetcapacity did you run it as:
mqsisetcapacity -c 2
- or -
mqsisetcapacity -c 4
?
The second one is correct for your system from what I have gathered from your posts. You should be able to run it now too.
If it doesn't fix your problem then you don't have a proper license file for your implementation, and I would recommend raising a ticket with IBM as did the other posters. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

Unless the problem has changed, this is merely a license issue, and can be addressed by using mqsisetcapacity properly and ensuring that you have sufficient licenses for the hardware you are running the broker on.
Fix Pack level shouldn't be an issue - unless mqsisetcapacity isn't working properly. Which there's been no evidence of. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
