Our DBA's are wanting to define indexes for all of the tables in our Broker and MQWF systems. Not being Broker literate, I am hoping that someone here might be able to tell me if there is any reason why they can not (or maybe should not) define indexes over the Broker tables.

Ask them if they want to be responsible if the broker fails...

I don't know of a particular reason they should not, but it goes against my personal better judgement. What IBM has writ is best left alone.

Would they try to rearrange the file structure of an MQ install, so that it better fit company standards?
