When you use an MQCmit, do you have to specify an MQBegin with it, or can you simply just use an MQCmit by itself? We have a VB application which is using Logical grouping, and an MQCmit is issued at the end of each batch... however, there is no MQBegin. Is the begin implied?
Thanks,

Wheing using MQCMIT call without MQBEGIN the queue manager will commit local unit of work. If you use MQBEGIN before the MQCMIT in your code then the queue manager understands the Global Unit of Work needs to be commited. You must use MQBEGIN when start a Global Unit of Work (2-phase commit). _________________ Kiran

Unless you are using an Global UOW, MQBEGIN does nothing. In fact, it will give you a Warning return (2121).
