Looking for where I would find informatrion about what the messages in the SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ contain. One of our folks indicated that since we are using TCPIP for channels we do not need to reset the seq numbers when falling over from one machine to another and using the same channel names. They indicated since the IP is different MQ keeps a record/message indicating the instance of the channel and would use the correct seq number. We tried this and it works. I would be intrerested to know where this is DOCed or is this an extraction from OJT learned observation??

Status messages on the SYNC queue contain:
- the LUWID of current batch
- the sequence number of the last message
- the number of messages in batch
- the LUWID of the last committed batch

(from MQ30 course manual)
