I'm in the process of planning for our upgrade from V2.1 to V5. One thing that must come into play is the migration on the developer's workstation from V2.1's Control Center to V5's Toolkit. Unless we take a big bang approach and migrate all our environments (Test, QA, Prod) on the same day, I will have developers who will want to code new interfaces with the Toolkit in the Test environment and deploy something else from QA to Prod via the Control center - all from the same workstation.
So, my question is: can anyone point me to doc that discusses the desktop coexistence of the V2.1 control center and the V5 Toolkit ?
I thought I remember seeing a post that discussed a possible Registry manipulation to pull this off, but I was hoping for something more documented.
All of the README's and Migration guides I've reviewed talk about the steps to install, configure and migrate and also talk about broker co-existence, but none mention (that I've found) desktop developer environment coexistence.
Am I missing something or didn't IBM document a solution to this part of the migration?
My awful solution at this point is to put 2 desktops in each developers cube!!!
See you in Vegas... _________________ Cheers,
