Hi all -

My team is looking to use the Extended Transaction Client for MQSeries, and we need to understand the licensing. It comes with MQSeries 5.3, but to use it with a client, we understand we need to essentially "buy" another full MQSeries server license.

Is anyone using the ETC, and if so, how?

Yeah, it cost just as much as a full MQ install. I guess the logic is the upfront cost is the same, but you won't have the cost / admin headaches of maintaining another Queue manager and all its associated queues and channels.
