Hi,
I'm new to this forum and joined because I've been asked to investigate a MQSeries (V5.2.1) messaging problem. We are running on Windows 2000 Server.
We have a messaging application that recieves messsages from a third party. This has been running virtualy uninterupted for the last 2 years and the application users are wanting to make some minor changes.
On investigation we suspect that the application is discarding some of the messages due to the codeing rules. Prior to employing someone to modify the code we want to capture the messages that are processed by the MQSeries queue to a text file for analysis.
Is there a command that I can use to save the messages out to a file without deleting the message from the queue. _________________ Dave Henderson

Hi,
I have a simple command line ReadQueue program you could use, just redirect the output to a file. The C source is included in the download, so you can adapt it (change it to browse). You can find it here:
http://www.capitalware.biz/sample_mqseries.html#ccode
For a nice GUI tool that can backup all or selected messages to a single file or export all or selected messages to many files (1 message per file), then have a look at MQ Visual Edit. Note: The Backup or Export functions do not delete the messages. For more information or to download a 30-day trial, go to:

Thanks very much for your quick response, I'll have a look at that site and software. _________________ Dave Henderson
