Hi,
We have moved the host that our broker runs on (AIX) from one machine to another. All settings have been moved and the queu manager and all mqsi commands seem to work ok.
The problem is when trying to deploy a flow. The config manager does not seem to be able to locate the broker on the specified QM.
All channels are correct and running.
Do I need to delete the broker definition on the Config Mgr's Control Centre and recreate it...?
I have a feeling we do but I cannot find anything to confirm this.
Cheers. |

Did the queue manager name change?
Did you create the broker on the new machine? Or did you move it somehow?
If you recreated the broker, it has a new unique ID - and will have to be reregistered with the config manager. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The QM name remained the same and the broker definition was copied from the old box. We did not have to recreate the broker. |

Do you see messages flowing from the ConfigMgr to the broker QM? Or are they sitting in xmit queues? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

A message is currently sitting on the Xmit queue and I have noticed that the queue is get inhibited. I have tried changing this but every time I refresh the queue parameters, it reverts back to inhibited. |

The XMITQ is likely get inhibited because the channel is started.
If the message is sitting in the XMIT queue, then for whatever reason MQ can't route it properly.
See if you can compare the queue manager name on the message in the XMITQ with the actual queue manager name.
Also you might double-check the permissions on the new queue manager for the config mgr service user. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
