Hello,
To Assign WI to activities for a group of users, we included an activity inside a block. This way, the WI are reassigned to the entire group when an action by a member of this group is performed.
The issue we have is that some process might stay rather long with a certain group of user and that the content of this group is likely to change while no action was taken on a particular item.
Is there a way to reasign the workitem to all member of the latest definition of a group?
We would like to avoid opening every single item assigned to the group.
Thanks for your help.

Staff assignment is only done when an activity beomes ready. So I think the answer to your question is NO. _________________ John McDonald

With virtual user it's possible beacuse the staff resolution takes place on only one id. _________________ -manoj |

Thanks for your answer, I have browsed the forum and my understanding is:
Role are being used so much as it impacts performance. Instead, WI can be assigned to a virtual user, which is in fact a WF user like all the other. This user can have his own worklist and access to this worklist can be granted to a group of user dynamically (Can be controlled by a custom client based on role definition).
Still I am a little confused about how to asign the WI.
Let say I have a U1 and U2 and a virtual user V1. If The WI is assigned to V1, how can U1 and U2 access it. What will teh audit trail look like? |

Workitem is assigned to V1; U1 and U2 have "access to Workitems" of V1; transfer is done from V1 to whichever user is going to run the work.
Audit trail will show:
Workitem create for V1;
Transfer to whichever User
then normal workitem start/finish _________________ John McDonald
