hi,
i nee to log certain message which is sent through the MQ series queues on the receiving end into a database, i am ready to use two different queue managers, however i dont want to to put it into a cluster.
The point is in such a situation how do i make sure that i dont loose any message and all get to the receiving end and are updated to a database,
i want to find in some way if the primary queue manager fails how do i make sure that that message get sent to the second qmanager...
just trying to find a less expensive way to do it, any help will be appreciated? |

---A roundabout but may work, of course with MQ clients.
If you have a client channel def table that has all the details of all the qms, then your client app could very well connect to a different queue manager when one fails. You have to handle the respective error conditions appropriately to get this working, though.
Cheers
