I am running win2k and MQ on a server. I have a second box that has MQ CLIENT 5.3 installed. There is a component running on the second box which runs as a service. When we try to start the service, we get "Service cannot be started. CompCode: 2, Reason: 2063" which seems to be MQRC_SECURITY_ERROR error code. Now the only different we have between our testing and prod. environment is the prod. MQ server is on a domain (MS clustered. The seond box is not part of the domain).
Please help! |

Hi,
I usually see 2063 when the security exit does not allow the client to connect to the queue manager. Are you using any security exits on the queue manager?
Also, have you authorized the UserID with setmqaut?

Hi,
I am not using any security exits. The service on the second box is using a specific user, which I have created on the MQ box. I have also added the user to the mqm group. It was not working for about 20 minutes or so and then it started working!?!?!?! I rebooted all the boxes to make sure that I don't get any surprises when we go live shortly. Everything seems ok!
Thanks |
