Hi All,
I would like to know how many of you have come accross a situation where you had to change the attributes(get/put enabled, etc) of a temporary dynamic queue in real time(production/customer place).
I haven't ever, but since it allows and since it is just a regular local queue with additional features, i was a little puzzled with the purpose it could achieve.
I couldnt gather real good justifying reasons as to why altering of temporary dynamic queue attributes is allowed, other than the fact that somebody might want to probably turn get disabled, which may be used in some places. But again, on a temp dyna queue, i am a little skeptical of this. Or it could be as simple as saying that since it is just another flavour of predefined queues, it allows it.
Just a discussion guys, no implementation/implications. :)
All comments are welcome.
Cheers

I haven't ever had to change any TDQs on the fly.
But I could see at least needing to change the MaxMsgs or MaxMsgLn properties on the fly.
Or the BOQNAME. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
