Hi,
I would like to know if we have to recompile the java applis developped with the java classes taken from MA88 SPack when we migrate on mqseries 5.3 (java classes incorporated) on sun solaris platforms?
The old JAVA clients running the 5.2 jars will connect just fine to the 5.3 servers.
Unless you want the java app to access features only available on 5.3, like SSL, you shouldn't have to recompile.
But it wouldn't be a bad idea to recompile. Why not be at the latest (supported) version.
I am not 100% sure if a 5.2 Java app can connect in bindings mode to a 5.3 QM? But the client is definitly no problem. _________________ Peter Potkay
