What has this got to do with a Job Posting. Unless it's a sneaky aptitude test.
Can this be moved to the appropriate forum.
What is the data format. What do you have for the MQMD Format. If the data is all character, then set the Format to MQSTR. If the data is anything else, you will need to write a conversion exit.
Unless you have a 'very good' reason, I would not do the conversion in the Channel. Get the receiving application to do it.

Not sure why you've asked this on the jobs page.
I would have the mainframe programmers add MQGMO_CONVERT on their MQGETs. That's the recommended method

Guys "to err is human" some times without knowing we do mistakes.For that matter no one is perfect. I see people making lot of unnecessary comments for small things.If it needs to be in a diffrent forum please move it.

Hello,
I agree with the above comments.If there is some problem in what people post it will be appropriate if the moderator of the group gives some comments ot tell what to do and what NOT to do.Instead of everyone giving their fundas about others mistakes.
