What will happen if the receiving side of finds that the message content has been altered/tampered. Does the message end up in the Dead Letter Queue?

Seems like I got a lot of views and no answer to my question.
I did some research on this and I found out that if the message(s) are tampered or altered it goes to the DLQ.

When you look you will see a structure identifier containing 'DLH '; this is the start of the dead letter header. You can then locate the reason within the dead letter header. This is documented in the Application Programming Reference manual:

Thanks for the info, I'm currently making some generic C MQ programs.
So, I can use for my MQ testing and learning.

You could use suppportpack MO71 to take a look on the DLQ, this nice program displays the reason code incl. the text, just a small example:
Quote:
Reason :2087 (Unknown remote QMgr.)
Dest. Queue :'TDQ134.QUEUE.NUMBER.ONE '
Dest. QMgr :'CSQ1CHIN '
Format :'MQSTR '
THIS IS MY REAL DATA

You can download it here:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/individual/mo71.html

we like to hear what resoncode that was issued.

Just my $0.02

Take a look at the sample codes under the /Tools/c directory. There are source codes for you to play with, also executables. That would speed up your learning process.

amqsput - to help you put the messages in the queue
amqsget - to get the messages from the queue
amqsgbr - to browse the messages in the queue
.... etc.,
