Hi,
I would like to know, if WMQI supports japanese character data.
Is there any special setting that needs to be done to make it parse japanese character data and create messages of japanese character using the input.
Thanks in adavance.

Regards
Vels

The short answer is Yes it does support double/multi byte character data.

Only string fields will be character converted according the the CCSID attached to the data.

What else you have to do to support it depends very much on what domain you intend to use.

If you are using MRM and you have CWF (fixed length) data then you have to be careful whether you define element lengths in bytes or characters.

If you are using MRM and you have TDS (tagged or delimted) data. Then you can define TAG names as any string literal including non US-english letters. This is easier if you are using the control center/solution studio in the lanaguage you wish to write tag names in.

If you have XML data (either MRM or otherwise) tag names can contain non US-english letters. Same applies as TDS when creating elements in the tooling.
