channel inititator problem |

when i start the channel inititaor on a local QM i am getting this message..
The service could not be started. The process has terminated with return code 20. (AMQ4128)
application log says following, but i can see that queue there:
Program cannot open queue manager object.
The attempt to open either the queue or queue manager object 'SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ' on queue manager <<QMGRNAME>> failed with reason code 2042.
Ensure that the queue is available and retry the operation.
Queue Manager error log:
02/26/2004 12:10:45

Are you sure that the initiator isn't already running. On most (all ?) distributed systems, it's started automatically.

There is also a known, undiagnosed as mostly unreproducable problem whereby the runmqchi is launched, but for some reason the service 'loses' it, so tries to launch it again. As was stated before, check the task manager for a runmqchi process (one per QM), I bet it is there.
This 'issue' effectively makes it a harmless message 99% of the time |
