Dear All,
We have an MQSeries network heavily used to transfer static images (i.e TIF/JPEG formats )
As an enhancement our clients are planning to integrate features of Voice /MPEG inputs.
Can the base IBM MQSeries product accomodate such messages and transfer them as they are ?
Or is a special plug-in required for this purpose ?
Any help is greatly appreciated !
Regards,

MQ can put and get messages. Messages can be chunks of any kind of data (binary, string etc). There is a max size of message (I think its 100Mb) but you can use segmentation, grouping etc to transfer far greater information. So assuming your "Voice/MPEG inputs" are obtainable programatically by your application, then I dont see a reason MQ couldnt handle it. |

The data itself is transparant yes.
So wheter it´s SWIFT, or XML or TIFF or MP3, or MPEG.
This doesn´t matter.
But Voice and or MPEG is streaming content.
How will it handle in an asynchronious enviromnent.
What will happen with an DVB/MPEG transport stream if
there is a too big delay in certain packets.
For just voice you will probably get a little delay, for DVB you will
get a blank on your screen (settopbox can´t handle it)
In other words, what do the applications impose on the infrastructure. ?? |
