I installed websphere MQ 5.3 before and we had 2 queue managers running and in qmgrs folder c:/pro.../ibm/websphere MQ we had 2 folders for each of those.
I installed CSD 05 yesterday,
issue 1)
after installation the icon in taskbar always says initializing.....
issue 2)
and in c:/pro.../ibm/websphere MQ the 2 folders are missing, that means i can not have a look at logs.....
i can see the queue managers in MQ explorer though, i have them and listners running.
issue 3)
when i created broker and configmgr thru command prompt, it went well... when i start message broker toolkit it gives me an error stating that queue manager is not available..
BIP0914E Message Brokers Toolkit is unable to communicate with the configuration manager
Reason: MQSeries Queue Manager <<name>> is not running and / or listener on port 1414 is not started.
start MQSeries queue manager <<name>> if necessary and / or the listner is running.
then try operation.
Details:
cannot connect to MQ queue Mananger <<name>> (reason code=2059)
for your information one of our teammates was connected to this system thru remote desktop before i asked him to close and start installing CSD 05
issue 2)
and in c:/pro.../ibm/websphere MQ the 2 folders are missing, that means i can not have a look at logs.....
Which 2 folders? a fixpack install doesnt delete anything, its not much more than a fancy copy and backup. If you look at %temp%\amqicsdn.* you should have a log file from the fixpack install, so you might want to browse it for errors.
