Hello,

I have an issue with using Agent Controller to debug 2 remote machines (1 W2k, 1 SuSE Enterprise Linux).

I can debug flows on my local machine without issue however when I attempt to attach to a remote machine to debug, it will not list any of the Execution groups. All I have is a blank box where the Execution groups are normally listed.

I have tried starting and stopping the AC before and after the Broker and ConfigMgr. I have tried reinstalling AC and Broker/CM.

I have seen very similar issues to this posted before however none of the solutions for those have worked.

Has anyone seen this before? If so is there a solution?

Regards,

Damian.

Hi Damian,

I've just been through getting this working on AIX. I had to get a new version of the RAC that actually installed correctly from IBM.

When mine didn't install OK, my serviceconfig.xml was 0 bytes. Did your install complete OK? (I installed mine with security off and ALL for access).

If it did, what do you get in the servicelog.log file when you start the broker (RAC should be started first)? It should have something like this:

Quote:
<SERVER_MSG time="2004:2:27:14:37:45" severity="INFORMATION" text="Service start
ing"/>
<SERVER_MSG time="2004:2:27:14:37:45" severity="INFORMATION" text="Started proce
ssing Configuration /usr/IBMRAC/config/serviceconfig.xml"/>
<SERVER_MSG time="2004:2:27:14:37:45" severity="SEVERE" text="Service started su
ccessfully"/>
<SERVER_MSG time="2004:2:27:14:38:54" severity="WARNING" text="Incoming connecti
on request from agent QT12:sl364l in process 29264 with uuid UUID-1077892734-717
960-446746101-972135773"/>

There's a registration request from each execution group when the broker starts. If that's not there then you won't see any entries in the list in debug when you attach.

Regards,

Derek.
