Hi,
I am newbie to Clustering. I am developing an App of request-Reply type
with (WMQ5.3+WMQI2.1 on win2000) and created req, response flows in control center and its working fine.
Since my client want to enable Clustering. And in Production we have Cluster Machines on AIX.I have allready gone through Pdf.
I am not sure of how to design my app?since there are lot of ways of doing?how can i start?
SInce right now i have in One Machine(WMQ5.3Server),dones need to Setup 2 win 2000 Machines to simulate the Production env... Or can i create a Cluster in 1 Machine..?
I want to go ahead with Simple setup ..
Can any body guide me..so that i can proceed further?
Thanks in advance. |

Hello,
Your description is somewhat unclear. If you are asking can you create a cluster with several queue managers on one machine, the answer is yes! Your application can link with mqic32 to simulate the client (assuming you have installed the client option). You will need to ensure that you create cluster reciever channels for each queue manager an assign them to different ports using the conname, also create a listener for each queue manager.
Hope this helps, if not, please re-post with a clearer definition of what you want to do. |
