You can not rename message sets. Try using mqsicopymsgset command found in WMQI Admin Guide. You can copy the existing messageset (A) to message set (B).

Yes we can rename the message Set.
the method i used to follow is
export the messageset you want to rename.
manually edit for the old name and replace it with the new one.
delete the old message set
and import this edited one and refresh.

Be warned that you cannot mix the 'old' and the 'new' Message Sets in the same system. Internally, the UUID, and other identifiers are identical.

I assume you are talking about V2.x. FYI - In V5 you cannot rename a message set either. But you can "base" a message set on another which unlike V2.x gives a complete and unlinked copy of the message set with another name and UUID. |
